"Predator's Arena: The Chronicles of Ursa, Kenji, and Torres"

Plot Summary

The story begins with an excerpt from the "Yautja Codex":
"Go forth among the stars and seek only the strongest prey. They shall be your trophy. Become the killer of killers."

The Shield
In Scandinavia, year 841, Viking warrior Ursa leads her son Anders and their clan on a mission to eliminate the Krivich tribe and its leader, Zoran, who was responsible for Ursa's father's death. After slaughtering Zoran’s clan, Ursa confronts him in his fortress. Zoran scolds her before Anders kills him. Suddenly, a Predator ambushes the group, killing clan members one by one and wounding Anders. Ursa engages in a brutal duel, kills the Predator, but sadly, Anders succumbs to his wounds in her arms.

The Sword
By 1609 in Japan, brothers Kenji and Kiyoshi, sons of a samurai lord, are ordered to duel to determine the heir. Kenji refuses, but Kiyoshi attacks and wins; Kenji flees. Twenty years later, Kiyoshi is a regional lord, while Kenji lives as a shinobi in exile. Returning to face his brother, Kenji is unaware that a Predator is hunting him. He infiltrates Kiyoshi’s castle, defeats him in combat, but Kiyoshi falls into the moat. The Predator ambushes Kenji, who manages to escape and rescue Kiyoshi. Together, they fight and kill the Predator, though Kiyoshi dies from his injuries.

The Bullet
In 1942, John Torres, a U.S. Navy fighter pilot, flies a Wildcat during the North African campaign. His squadron investigates a strange aircraft responsible for earlier destruction. Grounded due to malfunctions, Torres discovers the craft is a Predator starship attacking both sides. Attempting to warn others, he arrives too late—the Predator fighter destroys his squadron, leaving only Torres and Captain Vandy alive. Vandy sacrifices himself to delay the Predator, allowing Torres to outmaneuver and trick it into self-destruction. After WWII ends, Torres is later abducted by another Predator starship while working in his garage.

Epilogue
Torres wakes up in a cell with Ursa and Kiyoshi—all three frozen in suspended animation by the Predators—and is taken to an alien arena. They are forced to fight for survival against each other and a massive alien beast, which they kill. Ursa and Kiyoshi turn against the Predator warlord, and during the chaos, Torres escapes in a hoverbike. As they flee, Ursa and Kiyoshi battle the warlord; Torres disables the ship’s engines, but a harpoon hits, anchoring it, and Kenji’s right arm is torn off in the chaos. Ursa sacrifices herself by sliding down the harpoon cable to destroy the launcher, allowing Torres and Kenji to escape. Ursa is recaptured and re-placed in suspended animation with other captives, including Naru, an 18th-century Comanche hunter who once killed a Predator in 1719.
