Plot Summary – Mystery, Superpowers, and High-Stakes Adventure
Months after the mysterious disappearance of the Justice League, reporters Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen stumble upon a haunting phantom inside the Hall of Justice. Forced out, they call in the legendary Mystery Inc. team to crack the case.
As Scooby and the gang travel to Metropolis, they find the city overwhelmed by villains including Giganta, Solomon Grundy, Joker, Harley Quinn, General Zod, Ursa, Non, and Brainiac. Barely escaping danger, they regroup at the Daily Planet with Lois and Jimmy, who brief them on the crisis.
Inside the Hall of Justice, they meet Lex Luthor, his assistant Mercy Graves, and his dog Rex Ruthor. Suddenly, a powerful phantom strikes again—but a mysterious super-dog saves them. This heroic canine is revealed to be Krypto, Superman’s loyal companion, who quickly forms a bond with Scooby-Doo.
During a chaotic search, Shaggy, Scooby, and Krypto accidentally activate malfunctioning holograms of the Legion of Doom. After shutting them down, the team uncovers holographic footage showing the Justice League being trapped in the Phantom Zone. Soon after, Solomon Grundy launches a relentless chase through the building before suddenly vanishing in a flash of light.
Velma eventually uncovers the truth: Mercy Graves orchestrated the entire operation, planning to turn the Hall of Justice into her own villain headquarters. She trapped the Justice League using the Phantom Zone Projector and created phantoms as part of her scheme.
But before Mystery Inc. can celebrate, Lex Luthor hijacks the plan, revealing his own agenda to conquer Metropolis with a robot army. Rex is exposed as a robot and engages in a fierce battle with Krypto. Despite Rex’s Kryptonite-powered systems, Krypto triumphs and uses the projector to free the Justice League—Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Hawkman—as well as Solomon Grundy.
Aftermath
Luthor and Mercy are arrested, Solomon Grundy makes peace with Scooby in his own chaotic way, and Mystery Inc. finally meets Clark Kent—whom Velma instantly recognizes as Superman. Jimmy awkwardly “breaks up” with Daphne, and Scooby and Krypto enjoy one last snack alongside The Flash.
