"The Virgin Tree's Secret: Love, Witchcraft, and the Battle for Souls"
St. Vincent College has a notable tree in their courtyard known as the Virgin Tree, which lovers worship on Valentine's Day. However, the tree has a darker legend—it's said to be haunted by a witch who resides there and has claimed the lives of several young men.One Valentine’s Day, Shantanu, a student, gets ditched by his girlfriend. In a drunken state, he wanders near the Virgin Tree and begins experiencing visions of the witch. Overwhelmed, he attempts to take his own life but is rescued by his friends.
Shantanu and Ananya secretly love each other but have never expressed their feelings, remaining just friends. During a college festival, another student attempts suicide, prompting the administration to seek a solution. They invite Dr. Krishna Tripathy, popularly known as Baba, who claims to fight demons with modern techniques.
Meanwhile, Shantanu encounters a beautiful woman named Mohabbat, and gradually drifts away from Ananya. Unbeknownst to him, Mohabbat is actually the witch who dwells on the Virgin Tree; she has fallen in love with Shantanu and wishes to take him away with her.
Mohabbat attacks Shantanu and Ananya on separate occasions, but Baba arrives in time to save them and survives her assaults. Realizing that Mohabbat is a different kind of soul, Baba delves into her past. He uncovers her history, knowing that she’s determined to prevent Shantanu and Ananya from being together, and works to break her hold over him.
