Alpha (2026) Plot Summary
After the 1999 Kargil War, Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat launches a secret Indian Army project known as Alpha, designed to create genetically enhanced super-soldiers. Working alongside Lieutenant Colonel Vikrant Kaul, the experimental program initially shows promising results.
Everything changes when Vikrant secretly uses the experimental Alpha serum to save his pregnant wife, Janaki, who suffers from a serious heart condition. Although the treatment temporarily saves her life and allows her to give birth to twin daughters, she dies soon afterward due to the serum's side effects. The government shuts down Project Alpha, but Fateh refuses to abandon his mission.
Fateh kidnaps one of the newborn twins, Sita, who naturally carries the Alpha serum in her bloodstream. Raised in isolation at a secret facility, Sita is trained to become the ultimate assassin. Meanwhile, her twin sister Durga grows up living a normal life, unaware that her sister even exists. Twenty-four years later, Sita begins hunting down everyone connected to Project Alpha, exposing dangerous military secrets and drawing the attention of India's intelligence agency, R&AW, now led by her biological father, Vikrant Kaul.
As long-hidden truths emerge, Vikrant reunites with Durga and discovers that Sita is the daughter he believed had died years earlier. Before the fractured family can reconnect, they become targets of Fateh's powerful organization. The story takes a dramatic turn when Fateh reveals that he is actually Major Zarrar Khan, an undercover ISI operative who infiltrated the Indian Army decades earlier to steal the Alpha super-soldier technology for Pakistan. His ultimate goal is to create an unstoppable army using the enhanced serum.
In the explosive final battle, Sita, Durga, Vikrant, and Indian security forces launch a full-scale assault on Zarrar's hidden base. After an intense confrontation, Sita defeats and kills Zarrar, permanently destroying Project Alpha.
With the conspiracy finally exposed, Vikrant reunites with both daughters and offers them the opportunity to join R&AW, allowing them to use their extraordinary abilities to protect India instead of living in the shadows.
