The RajaSaab (2026) is a big-budget Indian Telugu fantasy horror comedy film that blends supernatural thrills, dark humor, and mass entertainment. Written and directed by Maruthi, the film is produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, two major names in contemporary Indian cinema.
The movie stars pan-Indian superstar Prabhas in the lead, supported by an impressive ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu cinema debut), Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab. This powerful cast significantly boosts the film’s box office appeal and nationwide buzz.
The story follows a man searching for his missing grandfather, only to find himself trapped inside an eerie ancestral mansion haunted by a sinister supernatural force. As secrets unravel, the narrative moves between fantasy elements, horror sequences, and comedy-driven entertainment, positioning the film as a commercial crowd-puller.
Music for the film is composed by hitmaker Thaman S, adding high-energy background scores and chart-friendly tracks. Karthik Palani’s cinematography enhances the film’s visual scale, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s editing maintains a fast-paced cinematic experience.
Officially announced in January 2024, the project had already begun principal photography in October 2022, signaling its long-term planning and large-scale production values. The RajaSaab was released worldwide on 9 January 2026, aligning with the lucrative Sankranti festival release window.
Despite receiving negative critical reviews, the film attracted strong public attention due to its genre mix, star power, and marketing reach. With a reported budget of ₹400–450 crore and a box office collection of approximately ₹100.90 crore, the film remains a widely discussed title in the Telugu movie industry, particularly in conversations around high-budget fantasy horror films and pan-Indian cinema trends.
