Plot Summary:

Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former amateur wrestler, dreams of a son who will win international medals. Determined to train them, Mahavir subjects them to rigorous exercises, early morning workouts, and unconventional training methods. Despite village backlash, the sisters embrace wrestling and gradually rise through state and national competitions.

Geeta eventually faces challenges at the National Sports Academy, where her coach Pramod Kadam introduces new techniques, causing initial failures. With Babita’s support and Mahavir’s secret coaching, Geeta regains her confidence. In a climactic Commonwealth Games match, Geeta executes a decisive 5-pointer in the final seconds, winning India’s first gold medal in female wrestling and fulfilling her father’s dream.
