Production and Filming
After its announcement in December 2022, principal photography for They Call Him OG began in April 2023 in Mumbai. Filming faced multiple delays due to Pawan Kalyan's political commitments, especially after he became Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in June 2024. The shoot wrapped up in July 2025. The film features an electrifying music score by Thaman S, stunning cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, and sharp editing by Naveen Nooli.

Plot Summary
The story begins in 1970s Japan, where the Yakuza raid a Samurai dojo, killing everyone except one student—Ojas Gambheera 'OG'. Escaping to Bombay, OG encounters Telugu and Marathi businessmen, Satyanarayana 'Satya Dada' and Vardhaman Mirajkar, transporting gold to build a private port in Colaba. OG saves them from a gang of thieves, showcasing his unmatched martial arts and combat skills, and pledges loyalty to Satya Dada.
Years later, Satya Dada's port thrives under OG’s protection, but Mirajkar turns against him. In 1993, Mirajkar’s son Jimmy attempts to smuggle RDX explosives through Colaba port, resulting in the death of Satya Dada’s son, Pardhu. OG unleashes his vengeance, confronting both past and present adversaries to cement his legendary status.
