Netflix is set to release the second (and most impressive) season of The Sandman in July 2025, which begins with a total annihilation.Showrunner Alan Heinberg knew from the beginning of this chapter that it was the only sufficient episode to conclude Dream's story — he made this decision, according to comics sources obtained in 2022.Netflix approved a bonus episode after several business negotiations, bringing the total number of episodes for the season to 12 — including Volume 1: 6 episodes (July 3), Volume 2: 5 episodes (July 24), and a single “Death: The High Cost of Living” special (July 31).
