Shadows of the Past: The Saga of Power, Betrayal, and Redemption
Fast forward to 2016, after Shanthi, Manickam’s daughter, commits suicide following betrayal by Sadanand’s nephew, Ranvijay, Amaran enacts revenge by capturing Ranvijay, leading to Sakthivel’s imprisonment. Upon release, Sakthivel agrees to a political alliance proposed by Sadanand, allowing Amaran to lead the empire. As Sakthivel’s daughter Mangai marries Naaga, suspicions grow—Sakthivel fears Amaran's rising influence. An assassination attempt nearly kills Sakthivel, fueling his suspicions. Manipulated by his enemies and... in a plot to overthrow him, Amaran joins a conspiracy to kill Sakthivel and is led to believe his father’s death was his fault. They fake Sakthivel’s death, but he survives and plots his return.
Two years later, a vengeful Sakthivel, trained in martial arts, returns. He finds his wife Jeeva suffering from amnesia and begins a brutal quest for revenge—killing his enemies one by one. Kahlua defects to his side after being betrayed by Amaran, but is killed by him in turn. Deepak and others fall victim to Sakthivel's wrath, while his long-lost sister, Chandra, appears after being rescued from a lifelong separation.
As Sakthivel and Amaran face off, Sakthivel’s pleas and truths bring reconciliation—until Deepak intervenes with fatal gunfire. Sakthivel sacrifices himself heroically, dying to save Amaran, who succumbs soon after. The narrative ends with Sakthivel’s peaceful life as a farmer, living with his family and his grandson, lovingly called "Dei Sakthivel" by Jeeva—returning to peace after a lifetime haunted by death, betrayal, and revenge.
